Magicat

The magicat is at first glance, nothing more than a typical housecat in terms of physical features. However, upon closer inspection, one will usually find that a magicat is well, magical. Such cats are magical beasts with a myriad of spells at their disposal, and the intelligence to use them.

Rumours abound about the cause of magicats. They are believed to be the former familiars of deceased mages and seem to harbour the residual elements or essences of their former master. Some superstitions have even gone so far as to suggest that they contain the souls of their master, not unlike that of a lich's phylactery.
